For our 39th wedding anniversary, we went to see a live performance of Columbus Blue Jackets, but instead got two hours of opening bands that I didn't care for - too loud, too electric, too hard. The mainliner came on, talking through many of his songs and singing various arrangements of the old familiar songs I went to hear, yet they were almost unrecognizable. People were smoking cigarettes and marijuana in the seats; the group in front of us was drunk and unruly; and the woman in front of us was so captivated by the music that she stood up and danced most of the time. It was difficult to hear and see, even the jumbo screen. While I like Columbus Blue Jackets's music, I preferred his CD over this live performance.
